The bullet point • (Unicode U+2022) isn't printed on any keyboard, but every system has a way to type it. Here is the fastest method for each device. Or copy it now:
•
Windows
Alt code: make sure Num Lock is on, hold Alt, type 0149 on the numeric keypad, then let go of Alt. The number row above the letters will not work.
Shorter code: Alt + 7 on the keypad also gives • in many classic Windows apps (Notepad, Word, Excel), but not everywhere. 0149 is the reliable one.
Laptop without a keypad: press Win + . to open the emoji panel, click the Ω (Symbols) tab and pick • from General Punctuation. Or copy it from this page.
Mac
Press Option + 8. That's it, and it works in every Mac app.
For other dots, open the Character Viewer with Ctrl + Cmd + Space and search "bullet".
iPhone and iPad
Tap 123, then press and hold the hyphen (-) key. A small menu appears with – — and •. Slide to • and let go.
If you use it a lot, add a Text Replacement: Settings → General → Keyboard → Text Replacement → +. Paste • as the phrase and type a shortcut such as bbb.
Android (Gboard)
Tap ?123, then =\< to open the second symbol page. The bullet • is on that page. On Samsung Keyboard, tap !#1 and go to page 2.
Linux
In most GTK/IBus apps press Ctrl + Shift + U, type 2022 and press Enter.
Word, Google Docs and HTML
Word: type 2022 and press Alt + X, and the number turns into •. To start an automatic bulleted list instead, type * followed by a space at the start of a line.
Google Docs: Ctrl + Shift + 8 starts a bulleted list. For a single • use Insert → Special characters and search "bullet".
HTML: write • or •. In CSS use content: "\2022";

Questions
Why doesn't Alt + 0149 work on my laptop?
Alt codes need a numeric keypad. The number row doesn't count. On laptops without one, use Win + . (emoji panel) or copy the bullet from this page.
What's the difference between • and ·?
• is the bullet (U+2022), bigger and meant for lists. · is the middle dot (U+00B7), smaller and used between words.
Can I make a bullet point on a phone?
Yes. On iPhone, hold the hyphen key. On Android Gboard, it's on the second symbols page (?123 → =\<).
